葉山町の海岸から徒歩20分ほどに位置し、北側の山、南側の小川に囲まれた自然豊かな住宅地の専用住宅の計画。敷地は南北方向に傾斜があり、その傾斜を建築の中にそのまま取り込み、プラットフォーム状にレベル差のある内部空間を実現した。段々の床は周辺の林のような柱によって支持され、北側の山、南側の川を望む開口部やテラスによって、外部の景色や空気を取り込む敷地に溶け込むような設計となっている。耐力壁のブレース、柱脚金物、樋、階段や手摺の細部は、既製品ではなく鍛冶屋による鉄工事を用いたディテールとし、職人の手仕事を感じられる仕上がりとした。
El proyecto corresponde a una vivienda unifamiliar situada a unos 20 minutos a pie de la costa de Hayama, en una zona residencial rodeada de naturaleza, con montañas al norte y un pequeño arroyo al sur. El terreno presenta una pendiente en dirección norte–sur, y la arquitectura incorpora esa topografía, creando espacios interiores a distintos niveles, como plataformas superpuestas. Los suelos escalonados se apoyan en una serie de pilares que evocan un bosque circundante, mientras que las aberturas y terrazas orientadas hacia la montaña del norte y el río del sur permiten incorporar el paisaje y la brisa exterior, logrando que la vivienda se funda con su entorno. Los arriostramientos estructurales, las bases de los pilares, las canaletas, las escaleras y las barandillas fueron realizados en hierro por un herrero local, en lugar de emplear piezas prefabricadas, dando como resultado unos acabados que transmiten la huella del trabajo artesanal.
This project is for a private residence located about a 20-minute walk from the Hayama coastline, in a lush residential area surrounded by mountains to the north and a small stream to the south. The site slopes along the north–south axis, and the architecture embraces this natural topography, creating interior spaces on multiple platform-like levels. These terraced floors are supported by a series of columns resembling a surrounding forest, while openings and terraces facing the northern mountain and southern river bring in natural scenery and fresh air, allowing the house to blend harmoniously with its environment. Structural braces, column bases, gutters, stairs, and handrails were all custom-made by local blacksmiths rather than using standard products, resulting in finely crafted details that reflect the touch of skilled craftsmanship.
