京都花見小路通、料亭津田楼の町家の表土間に位置する小さなアンティークショップ津田楼の内装改修計画。障子を塞いでいた大型の什器を一掃し、中央のショーケースを中心に回遊性のある空間を計画した。障子の奥側や窓の外を感じることが出来る店舗とし、背面のショーウィンドウにはかみ添、嘉戸浩氏製作の銀箔を施した唐紙によって店内に彩りを与え、町家の内部に空間の広がりと奥行きをとり戻した。
El proyecto consiste en la renovación interior de Tsudaro Antique Shop, una pequeña tienda situada en el espacio frontal de tierra (doma) de Tsudaro, un tradicional restaurante ryotei en la calle Hanamikoji de Kioto. Se retiraron los grandes muebles expositores que bloqueaban los paneles de papel shoji, y el espacio se reorganizó en torno a una vitrina central, generando una circulación fluida. El diseño permite percibir el espacio detrás de los shoji y el exterior a través de las ventanas. En el escaparate posterior se aplicó papel decorativo karakami con pan de plata, realizado por los artistas Kamisoe y Hiroshi Kado, aportando color y luminosidad al interior y devolviendo a la machiya su sensación de profundidad y amplitud espacial.
This project involves the interior renovation of Tsudaro Antique Shop, a small store located in the front doma space of Tsudaro, a traditional ryotei (Japanese restaurant) on Hanamikoji Street in Kyoto. Large display fixtures that had blocked the shoji screens were removed, and the space was reconfigured around a central showcase to create a sense of circulation. The design allows visitors to feel the presence of the area behind the shoji and the exterior beyond the windows. In the rear show window, decorative paper (karakami) with silver leaf by artists Kamisoe and Hiroshi Kado was installed, adding subtle color to the interior and restoring a sense of depth and spatial continuity within the machiya.
